Llama Lounge, the AI Startup Event Series, is now 3 years old

HISTORY
A few months after GPT launched, I founded this event series at the start of the GenAI movement in SF, at Sunset Squares, a hip pizza place off Market Street. At the first event in April 2023, we had 100–200 attendees. A friend taught me over a decade ago to “get in front of a parade,” and I did just that.

OUR GENEROUS HOSTS
In the last year, we've been hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google DeepMind, Snowflake, Swisscom, SAP, Capgemini and Stanford University see photos and summaries of prior events.

ECOSYSTEM
Over 80 AI startups have been featured to pitch and demo, and we've had thousands of attendees, many who fly in from around the world to attend. We partnered with TechCrunch Disrupt, and I mentioned Llama Lounge at TEDAI San Francisco as the closing speaker.

WE EXTENDED: A HACKATHON
This year, we hosted our first Hackathon, hosted at Snowflake and featured CrewAI, Composio, and Skyfire, we extended the brand for hands on building beyond our usual format.

COMMUNITY IS MY SUPERPOWER:
One of my superpowers is ecosystem development and community. I’m grateful to use those skills today. I love to give a platform for founders, and help people connect to get deals done, I know that if everyone around me wins, then I will also win.

IT ALIGNS TO MY CAREER: 
While I don't generate revenue from this event, as a full-time VC investing in AI Startups. In fact, one-third of our investment portfolio in the AI Fund is sourced or connected from Llama Lounge events, so it aligns with my business goals while serving the community at the same time.
